For seven decades our plant nursery has become a favorite gathering place in Lake Tahoe for local gardeners and visitors wanting to experience the oasis of plants, flowers, and trees. With a long-standing history of employing locals, we create a true hometown Tahoe feel.

We offer a diverse selection of plants, including native species, trees, shrubs, perennials, annuals, pottery, gifts, soil, and more. Our 6,400 square-foot plant nursery is home to over 150,000 plants, including native Tahoe species and unique varieties you won’t find elsewhere, all cultivated year-round.

KNOWLEDGEABLE STAFF

Our knowledgeable staff, collectively boasting several hundred years of experience in mountain gardening, specialize in garden design, pest management, planting containers, native gardening, attracting birds and bees, and perennial gardens.

We are officially recognized by the California Native Plant Society as a partner in their Bloom! California Project.

PLANT PROPAGATION

We propagate all of our native plant stock from locally established mother plants, ensuring the highest quality. Original owner Dave McBride propagated a variety of native shrubs, trees, and perennials that are still sold today.

DELIVERY & PLANTING SERVICES

When you purchase large trees over a certain size, Tahoe Tree, in partnership with GREEN ENVY, will deliver and plant them right in your yard!

Home must be within the Tahoe/Truckee area. Delivery and planting fees apply.
